Tips

Check reporting at tax year end

Switch to 'Last tax year' in the period selector after 6 April to get the exact figures you need for your self-assessment tax return — gross income, expenses, and net income all in one place.

File misconduct reports the same day

County FA deadlines for misconduct reports are typically within 48 hours of the match. Do it from the car park while the details are fresh.

Use the match stats view for development

The reporting page has a match stats view alongside the finance view. It shows your REF vs AR ratio, total mileage, and games per month — useful data for discussing your season with a mentor.

Export CSV for your accountant

If you use an accountant for self-assessment, the CSV export gives them everything in one file — much cleaner than forwarding dozens of bank statements.

Frequently asked questions

Which periods can I report on?

You can view your data for: your active season, the current UK tax year (6 April to 5 April), the previous tax year, or all time. Switch between periods instantly with the period selector at the top of the Reporting page.

Can I export my data as a spreadsheet?

Yes — Pro subscribers can export a full CSV of their match history. The export includes all match fields: date, competition, teams, role, fee, mileage, payment status, and more. It's designed to drop straight into a spreadsheet for tax records or end-of-season analysis.

Does the report include tournaments and expenses?

Yes. The financial summary shows match fees, tournament fees, and total expenses for the selected period. Net income (match fees + tournaments − expenses) is displayed separately so it's ready to use for self-assessment.

What is a misconduct report?

If you send off a player or issue a caution for serious foul play, you are required to file a misconduct report with your County FA via the FA's system. The Reports section generates the professional formatted text — you fill in the player details, minute, offence type, and description, and penalty.app produces the report text ready to copy.

Are misconduct reports saved?

Yes. Every misconduct report you generate is saved in your Reports history so you can refer back to it. The number of reports filed also feeds into your Promotion Dashboard if your promotion pathway has a misconduct threshold.

Can I see my stats broken down by month?

Yes. The Reporting page includes a month-by-month breakdown showing games played, fees earned, and mileage for each month in the selected period. This is useful for seeing your busiest months and tracking seasonal patterns.
