Schedule & Fulltime sync

Stop digging through league emails and WhatsApp groups to find your upcoming games. The Schedule module puts all your upcoming fixtures in one place — with travel times, calendar conflict checks, and direct sync from the FA's Fulltime system.

What the Scheduler does

All your fixtures at a glance

See every upcoming game in one list — date, teams, venue, role, and kick-off time — without trawling through messages.

Travel time estimates

Based on your home address, see how long each journey takes so you know whether an early kick-off is realistic.

Calendar conflict detection

Connect your calendar and the Scheduler flags any game that clashes with an existing event before you commit.

Fulltime sync

Connect to the FA's Fulltime system and pull your allocated fixtures straight in — pre-filled, ready to confirm in one tap.

Your upcoming fixtures

The Schedule view lists all your upcoming fixtures with key information visible at a glance. Each card shows the date, competition, teams, kick-off time, your role, and estimated travel time from home.

Syncing from FA Fulltime

The FA's Fulltime system is where most leagues allocate referees. Instead of copying details manually, penalty.app can pull your allocations directly from Fulltime — date, teams, venue, and your role all pre-filled.

1

Connect Fulltime in Settings

Go to Settings → Integrations and enter your Fulltime login details. penalty.app connects securely and lists your allocated fixtures.

2

New fixtures appear on your dashboard

When a new game is allocated to you on Fulltime, it appears on your penalty.app dashboard as an importable fixture — with a banner showing the match details and a one-tap import button.

Smart duplicate detection

If you've already entered a match manually, penalty.app detects the potential duplicate and lets you link the Fulltime fixture to your existing record — rather than creating a second entry for the same game.

Setting up for best results

Add your home address in Settings

The travel time estimates only work if your home address is set. Go to Settings → Profile and enter it. This also powers the mileage auto-calculation on match forms.

Connect your calendar

Add your Google or Apple Calendar URL in Settings → Calendar. The Scheduler will then flag any allocation that clashes with an existing event — before you've committed.

Use the WhatsApp screenshot import

If a league messages you fixture allocations via WhatsApp, screenshot the message and upload it in the Scheduler. The app reads the details and creates draft fixtures for you to confirm.

Import fixtures as matches after the game

Once a fixture has been played, use 'Import as match' to create the full match record with all the pre-filled details. Add your fee and payment status to complete the entry.

Frequently asked questions

What is Fulltime?

Fulltime is the FA's fixture management system used by leagues to allocate referees to matches. When a league allocates you a game, it appears on Fulltime. penalty.app can connect to your Fulltime account and pull those allocations directly into the app — pre-filled with date, teams, venue, and your role.

Does the Scheduler work without Fulltime?

Yes. You can use the Scheduler to manage fixtures you add manually or from any source. The Fulltime sync is a convenience feature that saves re-entering data you already have in the FA's system.

How does calendar conflict detection work?

If you add your personal or work calendar URL in Settings → Calendar, the Scheduler checks whether each upcoming fixture clashes with existing events. Clashes are flagged visually so you can spot a problem before accepting a game.

How are travel times calculated?

Travel times are estimated based on the venue address and your home address (set in Settings). The Scheduler shows your estimated journey time for each fixture so you can judge whether the appointment is realistic — especially useful for early morning kick-offs or when you have consecutive fixtures.

Can I import a fixture list from a WhatsApp message?

Yes. The Scheduler can read a screenshot of a fixture allocation message from WhatsApp or a league email. Upload the image and the app extracts the fixture details — date, teams, venue, and kick-off time — ready for you to review and confirm.

What happens after I accept a fixture in the Scheduler?

Accepting a fixture adds it to your upcoming fixtures list. You can then import it as a match record when the game has been played, with all the pre-filled details carried across. This avoids double entry.
